Missing Fairlane

Here is a good one for all you workbench detectives out there. This is not a Quiz; we don’t know the answer to this one! Yes, I know it isn’t about a Talladega….or is it? Marty Burke found this Intra Company communication in his historical documents and wanted to know if anyone has an idea why Bunkie Knudsen wanted to know where this Fairlane was. Why was this particular car so important? Did they find it? Where was it? Do you have this VIN in your garage?
*** 178-D-410*** Decodes as 178=Dearborn, D=Press unit/loan, 410 may be a unit number assigned to the car as the 410th press car from the Dearborn district.
I joined as a member to find out more about the Talladega and Spoiler ii cars. I have also located a Dan Gurney Spoiler ll that has been sitting for a long, long time with no engine, transmission, etc. The rolled rockers are excellent. One fender is excellent and the other has damage. The sloped header panel in front of the hood is not damaged and the narrowed V front bumper is good. What other “email” information do I need to send you. The reason I ask is because after I have became a member I am still blocked from some member only sections. Hope to hear from you soon either by email, or call me at 910 464 7229 so I can learn more about these cars. Thank You!
