In the past we have informally assisted Members buy and sell cars. We have not and currently do not charge for this service. We have helped some folks locate cars they used to own etc. Recently, Bob Powell (256-572-0274 cell and rpowell5@windstream.net) contacted us regarding the possible sale of his Talladega that he has owned since 1993. He states that is was once in the Reggie Jackson collection. We will occasionally provide this front page article assistance to others but we direct you to our NEW FORUM GROUP where you can list your cars and parts For Sale or Wanted for FREE. If you have trouble posting photos to the Forum we will soon be posting a “How to Article” on posting photos to the Forum.

He forwarded some photos of the car but was a little light on the descriptions side. It appears to be a very nice car with the exception of the all black rocker panels. Bob says it is original with approximately 70,000 miles. However, the seat covers have the wrong material and the car has most likely been repainted in the correct Royal Maroon.

Bob also attached the Marti Report and Build sheet for his car. The VIN is 9A46Q192105 and is number 358 in our Registry. He is looking for approximately $50,000 for the Talladega.

Some of my first and strongest memories from my childhood relate to cars. I still remember when things happened based on what car I was driving at the time. I grew up and lived in Iowa for nearly 40 years before moving to Southern California and now live in Tennessee. I was a Corvette fanatic for years but then re-discovered vintage American Muscle. My wife, Katrina, and I decided we wanted to focus on unique and rare muscle cars. After a lot of research we fell in love with the Ford Blue Oval Aero Cars. These were only built in 1969 and and aerodynamics became an important part of winning races. The only purpose of these limited production cars was to win NASCAR races using the Boss 429 and 427 power plants complimented with a special, wind cheating, aerodynamic body. The Ford Talladega and Mercury Cyclone Spoiler II are terrific and historic cars. This site is devoted to these car and their owners past and present. We provide an Online Registry for recording the long term history and ownership of every remaining Talladega, Spoiler and Spoiler II.
