Smartphone Page for Talladega Spoiler Registry

TalladegaSpoilerRegistryIt takes a lot of time and work to keep this site up and running. We still have big plans and some significant changes planned to make the Talladega Spoiler Registry web site more user friendly. If you have suggestions on changes you would like to see please pass them on to rfleener@Comcast.net.

However, we did just complete one change you can notice immediately. If you often visit the site on your smartphone or tablet you will notice that the site is now mobile friendly. Getting around on the mobile site is different than on a computer but should also now be faster and easier to read on your smartphone. If you prefer the desktop version you can click on the link at the bottom of the page and switch back.

If you are a Team Member the Log-in button is located in the Menu at the top of the mobile page. Now you can verify and look up info on a Talladega, Spoiler or Spoiler II while you are standing next to it whether you are at a show, body shop or in a pasture as long as you have your smartphone with you. Tell us about the most innovative way you have used the new mobile friendly version of the TalladegaSpoilerRegistry.com web page.

If you like this change let us know. While you are at it you may also like to visit and contribute to our Facebook page Talladega Spoiler Registry. The web site remains the primary point of information but some of you more into the Social Media may find it a good place to share your more personal side of the Talladega Family activities.

Some of my first and strongest memories from my childhood relate to cars. I still remember when things happened based on what car I was driving at the time. I grew up and lived in Iowa for nearly 40 years before moving to Southern California and now live in Tennessee. I was a Corvette fanatic for years but then re-discovered vintage American Muscle. My wife, Katrina, and I decided we wanted to focus on unique and rare muscle cars. After a lot of research we fell in love with the Ford Blue Oval Aero Cars. These were only built in 1969 and and aerodynamics became an important part of winning races. The only purpose of these limited production cars was to win NASCAR races using the Boss 429 and 427 power plants complimented with a special, wind cheating, aerodynamic body. The Ford Talladega and Mercury Cyclone Spoiler II are terrific and historic cars. This site is devoted to these car and their owners past and present. We provide an Online Registry for recording the long term history and ownership of every remaining Talladega, Spoiler and Spoiler II.

  1. Richard – I like the new mobile page very much. Just trying it out now, but it’s cool that the fonts and alignments of the photos and articles all work out right on my iPhone. The hot links work right and everything. The only thing I couldn’t find was a place for member login. Maybe I just missed it. Let me know how to log in ’cause I think I’ll use the mobile version more frequently.

    Thanks!

    1. Mark, we just fixed it! You can find log-in under the Menu button. Now the entire site is available to Team Members. Now you can look up a VIN when you find a Talladega or Spoiler II etc. at a show or in a pasture! Enjoy.
