Cars for Sale & Sold

Ford/Mercury Aero Cars

Did you know that on this site, we try to track all the Ford/Mercury aero cars we find for sale or those that have sold at auction? We are often asked what someone’s car is worth. Obviously, without seeing the car, this is nearly impossible. This service is designed to enable you, a Team Member, to view what other owners are requesting for their car and/or recent sales. We even try to include an estimate of the condition of the car.

You can find a link to this page at https://talladegaspoilerregistry.com/sold-car-prices/. If you are not yet a Team Member, I have included a very small sample of the information you can find there. If you want to become a Team Member and have access to all the special pages and information, please go here and register: https://talladegaspoilerregistry.com/become-a-member/

Here is a small sample of real ads we posted way back in 2011 when we first began this service. It is even interesting to see how these prices have changed over time.

Note that this Gurney also has a blue spoiler. I would say that most of the Gurneys I have seen have the blue spoiler rather than the black. What is your opinion and observation of the Gurney spoiler color?

We now have 145 listings in the Talladega portion, plus even more for the Spoilers, Spoiler IIs, plus some for Specials, Color Codes, GT 500s, and even a Petty Torino.

Some of my first and strongest memories from my childhood relate to cars. I still remember when things happened based on what car I was driving at the time. I grew up and lived in Iowa for nearly 40 years before moving to Southern California and now live in Tennessee. I was a Corvette fanatic for years but then re-discovered vintage American Muscle. My wife, Katrina, and I decided we wanted to focus on unique and rare muscle cars. After a lot of research we fell in love with the Ford Blue Oval Aero Cars. These were only built in 1969 and and aerodynamics became an important part of winning races. The only purpose of these limited production cars was to win NASCAR races using the Boss 429 and 427 power plants complimented with a special, wind cheating, aerodynamic body. The Ford Talladega and Mercury Cyclone Spoiler II are terrific and historic cars. This site is devoted to these car and their owners past and present. We provide an Online Registry for recording the long term history and ownership of every remaining Talladega, Spoiler and Spoiler II.
