50th Anniversary Celebration
2019 is the 50th Anniversary of the birth of our cars! This is our opportunity to celebrate these fantastic cars and relive some old memories. During 2019 we will be featuring your stories and photos about the cars we collect. I want to hear how you will celebrate the 50th Anniversary of our cars with stories and photos. Our Team Members and occasional visitors to this site like to hear your stories.
Your Story
Your contributions are needed to make this happen. Did you purchase one of the cars new in 1969? Did you own one as a used car back in the day and had to sell it for some reason? Did you total your car? Did a buddy buy one and you cruised all over picking up girls and street racing Chevelles?
Tell us what you are working on, what Ford/Mercury Aero Car do you own now and what other cars are in your collection. Do you have a special story about your Talladega or Spoiler II? How did you find it or maybe a story about the one that got away? Perhaps you have finally purchased your dream 428 SCJ…..or maybe you had to sell your Cale Yarborough because you had a baby. Maybe you were headed off to war, or your dad got you hooked on cars with a father son Talladega project. It could be that your dad came home with a new 390 4-speed Dan Gurney Spoiler for a family car and you were thrilled but your mother not so much.
Tell Us
We know that everyone of you out there has at least one story that our readers what to hear. When you are at a car event you sit around and “bench race” with all you buddies. We want you to share those stories with us!
If you are a restoration shop and would like to share some of your work, either full cars or smaller details, we would love to have those as well.
How about a story and photos when you attended a NASCAR race and saw one of our heros like Cale, Dan or David race.
Old photos of our cars from the 70s and 80s are also good. Junk yard discoveries and drag strip photos are also great.
I personally like “day two” photos of the car with the wild 70s/80s custom paint schemes with and custom wheels Let’s see how many we can get. For this group I will accept any 68/69 non-aero car Cyclone or Torino!

You can write a beautiful short story or you can provide us with the basics and we will edit it into an article for our site. We may need to contact you to get some more details so here is what we need:

Your story (no novel, just short stories) - We love photos, the more the better, JPG format is best and does not need to be extremely high resolution for web site use.
