Videos on the 1969 Ford Talladega are very hard to find. Here is one from 2008. PLEASE do NOT use the Talladega in this video as a restoration guide as to what is correct on a Talladega. When this video was shot it was in driver condition as restored by the previous owner. It was in excellent condition but was not factory correct. You will note that the Magnum 500 wheels and white letter tires are not factory correct. The gloss black hood and absence of black pinstripes on the top of the front fenders, doors and rear fenders are also not correct. On the interior, the seat material is not correct for a Talladega. Under the hood, the engine paint color is much too light and none of the emission equipment is present. Other minor details in the engine compartment are also incorrect.
Since this video was recorded, all of these items have been corrected. You can see the car, still a driver, as it exists in 2019, the 50th anniversary of the car’s release, in the very near future on this web site. The incremental steps to return it to a more factory-correct condition will be featured.
