Ford Company Photos from 1969

I recently received some photos from Gerry Bonanni who is a Senior Engineer , Ford Paint and Body Repair for Ford Paint and Body Technology Center. These are similar to some of the cars seen in an old video that some of you might have seen on Facebook. There are some really cool cars here including some of the Bunkie Knudsen Yellow Talladega and the King Cobra.
Even though they aren’t all aero cars I think it is very interesting that all these rare Ford factory toys were out on the street just sitting in Kar Kraft’s front yard back in 1969. It makes you realize there were some real car guys at Ford back in the day and they must have been having a blast.
Check these photos out and look at them closely for things that might suprise you.
King Cobra undercover!
Boss 302 Trans Am car for Smokey Yunick!
Look closely
See hand written note at bottom of photo? How about the sign on the building?
Can Am was a great series, wish it still existed.
Anyone know who is walking down the sidewalk?
Bunkie Knudsen car, check out the side exhaust. I wonder who was driving the Corvette?
First a Corvette, now there is the nose of a Corvair hanging out with all the Big Blue Oval Dogs!
That would be Dan Gurney walking on the sidewalk
Real good eyes there Marty
Great pictures!
How about it, anyone else have some old photos to share? I know John Craft has a lot of NASCAR photos he has provided…I will pull some of them out one of these days.
Anyone else?
Hi, I wonder if anyone can help me with advice, I have come across some photos of some vintage ford cars. Am assuming these particular photos were sent to dealers before they were released.. They were sent from the ford division public relations the address was Dearborn mich (I think it’s in the states) they give the dates of when they were going to be released on Wednesday sept 18 1969. There are all different cars, also showing the enterior.
I have been searching on the Internet but can’t seem to get any information about them, the photos are in beautiful condition. I would love to post them on here but not sure how to send them. So if anyone can tell me how to go about it. I am sure you would love to see them.
Best wishes
Jenny
That is Dan Gurney on the sidewalk
Man that’s cool!
I also noticed a 69 mustang in the background parked at the house across the way (picture with the Vette)…can you imagine living so close to that place and having a mustang…Oh the trouble i’d have gotten into!!
yeah buddy …I’d have my own cell at the station for speeding tickets!!
Good thing i’m in Southern Jersey…I think?!
