In 1969 Mercury built 969 Cyclone Spoilers. As most of you know, there were two versions, 617 red and white Cale Yarborough Specials and 352 Dan Gurney Specials. There has been very little change in the number of cars Registered since 2021.
As of January 1, 2022, our Registry contained 22 Registered Dan Gurney Spoilers and 30 Cale Yarborough Spoilers (2 additional cars were Registered but were confirmed junked. Only non-junked cars were counted in these totals). 11 other Spoilers were found but not Registered or documented.

Summary
What does all this mean? Spoilers are RARE! In the approximately 10 years this Registry has been in existence, we have been able to only document:
- We can document the existence of only 40 Cale Yarborough Cyclone Spoilers. (10 not Registered)
- We can document the existence of only 22 Dan Gurney Cyclone Spoilers.
- If you want a 428 R Code we know of only 4 Cale Yarborough cars and 2 Dan Gurney cars. (There may be a couple of more in the Found but undocumented list of none-Registered cars.)
- If you are looking for a number 1 or number 2 Condition Spoiler, there are only 15 cars listed in the Registery as being number 1 or 2 by their owners!
- Take a second and think about this for a minute: Mercury only built 969 Cyclone Spoilers, EVER. Of the 617 red and white Cale Yarborough Specials built, we can only document that 30 survive, approximately 5%! Of the 352 Dan Gurney Specials built, we can only document the existence of 22, approximately 6%! Every one of these cars in #1 or #2 condition should be worth $100,000 or more for the big blocks!
- It is not uncommon to see a 1969 Z28 Camaro sell for $75,000 to $150,000 and there were an astonishing 20,302 Z/28 Camaros built in 1969!
