2016 Talladega Family Reunion

We are in the very preliminary planning of our 2016 Talladega Family Reunion. Although we have been doing these for several years we are going a completely different direction this year to see how you like it. First off, sound ground rules.

1. You must be a paid up Team Member to participate.
2. There will be no registration fee for the event but you must pre-register and there will be fees for some activities.
3. The dates are August 5th, 6th and 7th; that is a Friday, Saturday and Sunday. We will begin early Friday so you will want to arrive Thursday evening and we will end early Sunday.
4. The location will be in Murfreesboro, TN which is located an hour south of Nashville.
5. Hotel information will be published here when it is available.
6. Details of the event have not been finalized but will include a meal and tour of our farm with miniature donkeys, our car collection and some bench racing under the trees. This will be a very informal get together for everyone to share car stories and check out each others car.
7. You do not need to bring your car to the Reunion is you do not want to. However, all Ford/Mercury Aero cars are welcome regardless of condition.
8. If you trailer your car and want to spend some extra time in the Nashville area for a longer stay we can store some trailers at our property without charge.
9. Activities have not been finalized but here is what is currently on the short list:
   • Short road trip to visit a local tourist attraction or large car collection.
     • Possibilities include: Jack Daniels distillery, Civil War battlefield or plantation, large car collection, Grand Oly Opry or Ryman Theater;
     • Ride on the General Lee River Boat;
     • Car cruise or smaller local show;
     • Attending an evening car races at the historical Nashville Speedway.
10. If you have suggestions or preferences please let me know. The schedule may change at the last minute is we have some unfavorable weather.
11. To Register for the event please do so as soon as possible by sending an email to rfleener@comcast.net with the following information:
    • Name;
    • email;
    • home and cell phone numbers;
    • home mailing address;
    • number of  of people in your group (Spouses and children are encouraged);
    • will you be bringing your car;
    • will you want to be storing your trailer before or after the event.

Early Registration is important. It will help with reserving a block of rooms at a local hotel and some activities

 will not work with a large group and some will not work with a small group so please register as soon as you know you can make our 2016 Talladega Family Reunion. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to ask. We will be providing more details as we get closer to the date.
