Hemmings Muscle Machine wants a 428 CJ 4-Speed

Jeff Koch at Hemmings Muscle Machine was one of the first to do a great article on the Spoiler II. They did our Dan Gurney car back in September 2005. In my opinion, that article was one of the first really good articles on our cars in recent years. Jeff has owned a Mercury Cyclone and does excellent work both in photography and writing. I believe that article and the subsquent nomination by the magazine of the Spoiler II for Muscle Machine of the Year did a lot to bring attention to these cars.
Jeff tells me he just got a Hemi 4-speed Super Bee dumped in his lap for an upcoming feature. He states that it is a nice car and rather than just do another “look what I got article” he wants to do a comparison with a Blue Oval car.
The closest thing the people at Hemmings Muscle Machine came up with to do a proper comparison was a 1968/1969 428 CJ 4-speed Fairlane/Montego or Torino/Cyclone. So here is your challenge, if you live in Phoenix or are willing to get your car there your car there at your expense it might be featured in Hemmings Muscle Machines magazine.
There are some conditions; first, it has to be a real car no clones. Second, it must be clean. No modifications and should be fully restored or excellent survivor. Color does not matter, although a factory hue is best. To be honest, he would prefer the Fairlane, just because of the formal roof line and the popularly-priced brand makes a better straight-across comparison, but anything with a 428 CJ 4-speed intermediate is OK.
If you have one of these cars in your garage contact Jeff Koch immediately and let us know if your car is selected!
