Would You Buy This Car?

Would you buy a car at auction?
I recently attended a GAA Classic Car Auction in Greensboro, NC and a 1969 Mercury Cyclone Spoiler Dan Gurney car crossed the block. The car is in our Registry and is rated as a #2 condition. It has been offered for sale many times in different locations. I looked at the car very carefully for the first time at the auction prior to its trip to the auction block. I am not currently looking for another car for our collection but I was, and still am, very interested in the market for these cars.
Would you sell your car at auction?
I have included some photos for you to look over and give me your opinion. The fee for purchasing a car at the GAA Classic Car Auction is 7% and this Spoiler sold for $26,000 plus 7% buyer fee bringing the final sale price too $27,820. The seller’s fee was also 7%, netting the seller $24,180. It was a Reserve sale with the seller removing the Reserve.
The Car.
This is a 1969 Mercury Cyclone Dan Gurney Spoiler. It has the 351 Windsor engine with FMX automatic transmission, PS, PB, bucket seats and console. The condition is verified as a #2. The paint is very nice with only minor flaws not noticed by most. The underside appears to be rust free and solid. Here is the sellers description, Marti Report and photos of the car just prior to auction sale.
