Talladega Family Reunion Time Running Out!

You have read here before about all the fun and knowledge sharing of the first Talladega Family

Reunion. You have also read about the next Talladega Family Reunion on September 9 and 10 of 2011. What you haven’t read before is there is a deadline! YOU MUST REGISTER FOR THE 2011 TALLADEGA FAMILY REUNION NO LATER THAN MARCH 31, 2011 TO ENSURE YOU HAVE A SPACE AT THE SHOW.

You will still be able to register for the Reunion after March 31 but there is no assurance that you will be able to have your car inside. The Forge Classic Muscle Car Show is filling up fast and it will be more and more difficult to hold spaces for the Talladega Family Reunion participants. We currently have at least two Prototypes in addition to theĀ  Bunkie Knudson yellow Talladega plus the first Production Talladega registered for the Reunion and there are other surprises yet to be announced. You need to be there if you have any interest in the Ford Talladega, Mercury Spoiler or Spoiler II cars.

Our Reunion is held “inside” the nationally recognised Forge Classic Muscle Car show. This is both an honor to be included within this terrific show but also a real treat to have a “back stage pass” to all these other brand great muscle cars.

The Talladega Family Reunion is for ALL 1969 Ford Talladega, Mercury Spoiler and Spoiler II cars. The cars can be of any condition from barn find to 100 point restoration.

Please contact Richard@TalladegaSpoilerRegistry.com for a Talladega Family Reunion registration form or call Jason Thompson at 865-828-8384 for more information. There are always a lot of TV Shows and Car Magazines at the Forge seeking the next Feature for their publication. The TalladegaSpoilerRegistry.com will also be there looking for new Feature Cars for our site. Look for us and say Hi!

This is the outside of where the show will be held! Does this give you a hint to the quality of the Forge Classic and Talladega Family Reunion?

Richard

Some of my first and strongest memories from my childhood relate to cars. I still remember when things happened based on what car I was driving at the time. I grew up and lived in Iowa for nearly 40 years before moving to Southern California and now live in Tennessee. I was a Corvette fanatic for years but then re-discovered vintage American Muscle. My wife, Katrina, and I decided we wanted to focus on unique and rare muscle cars. After a lot of research we fell in love with the Ford Blue Oval Aero Cars. These were only built in 1969 and and aerodynamics became an important part of winning races. The only purpose of these limited production cars was to win NASCAR races using the Boss 429 and 427 power plants complimented with a special, wind cheating, aerodynamic body. The Ford Talladega and Mercury Cyclone Spoiler II are terrific and historic cars. This site is devoted to these car and their owners past and present. We provide an Online Registry for recording the long term history and ownership of every remaining Talladega, Spoiler and Spoiler II.
